Our specialists have been watching health sector for couple of weeks and noticed stable increase in value over a while of MEDIMMUNE INC (NasdaqGS). Upon successful purchase of 110,000 MEDI stocks at $37.10 per share our traders decided to give it a few days. Although holding overnight is quite risky, we still decided to hold the stock due to it's perfect gain since middle of March 2007. It was also luck that helped us in making profit this week. On Thursday, after Medimmune Inc have been considering a possible sale of the company to boost shareholder value. MEDI sold for $42.05 per share. Yesterday our trading team have finished reviewing CV THERAPEUTICS(NasdaqGM:CVTX). After a fall from $13 to $6.7, our trading team managers definitely predicted a possible bounce-back. After a successful purchase of 600,000 shares at $6.60, we've decided to give it a try. Since we have over 4M of assets involved in this stock, we knew that it would attract some investors. Good news also did a good job - Reuters announced that "CV Therapeutics angina drug may win broader use" and caused additional interest to this stock. The stock began to increase in price and all we had to do is to look for a good price to sell. After a successful sale at $8.45-8.50 per share, we've gained over $1.85 per share and a total gain of 1.1M or 28% interest from this trade.

We have finally finished the process of acquisition by a large offshore company, specializing in e-currency transaction system development & transaction processing solutions. A3Card.com, offering Debit MasterCard service is officially opened for public. The new debit card product will have the following features: instant funding via e-gold, e-Bullion or directly from any A3Union account and acceptance at 17 millions of ATM locations and 12 millions of MasterCard merchants worldwide along with affordable fee schedule. The service is in the middle of official launch pre-testing.
As soon as we complete the test of beta version of the website, A3Card.com will officially start taking orders for this unique product. The official launch is scheduled not later than April and will be announced in advance. ON SEMICONDUCTOR (NasdaqGS:ONNN) is still going up today since they've announced fourth-quarter profit swelled more than fourfold, lifted by strong sales and a substantial one-time gain. Net income for the quarter was $87.4 million, or 27 cents per share, up from $21.2 million, or 7 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Income included a $10.2 million benefit, largely the result of an insurance settlement and gains on idle property sales. A3Union has filled a buy order of 400,000 shares right before the market close yesterday at $8.40. Sold after the report at $9.44 Total profit for this market operation - over $400,000.

Every trader who is familiar with the New Year and Summer seasons, should know that there is always a decline during the mentioned time frames. We decided to invest into something reliable that would most likely go down. Since some search engine would be having a serious decline on the market, we decided to do a sell short of YAHOO INC (NasdaqGS:YHOO) at the top (100,000 shares @ $26.95) on Friday, Dec 15 and give it some time for a few days. This succesfully predicted trade has been completed this Wednesday (100,000 shares @ $25.60). Total revenue from this trade - $135,000, or 5.2%

We've purchased it last Friday in order to catch the recent rally in the shares after the Montreal-based online search and advertising company launched a video search function earlier this week. Since Monday's close of $2.37, the shares have gained nearly 82 percent to Wednesday's ending price of $4.31 on the Nasdaq. On Tuesday, Mamma.com launched MammaJobs.com, a new search engine that gives job seekers free access to job postings from company Web sites, job boards, newspapers and associations. We sold the shares at $4.55, making a total profit of $1,230,000 including fees and comissions in this 1 week aggresive investment. Total amount of shares - 600,000 and $1,5M of cash has been invested. Tornado hits London street. ( 7 Dec. 2006 )
Six people were injured today when a tornado swept through a north-west London suburb leaving a trail of destruction. Witnesses reported seeing debris falling through the air, trees uprooted, front doors missing and windows smashed. Fortunately, this incident has not affect A3Union's office and has not created any issues related to our trading activities.

Biopharmaceutical company Micromet Inc. traded heavily after the Carlsbad, Calif.-based company said it received a $10 million milestone payment from biotech Serono SA (nyse: SRA - news - people ). The companies are collaborating on a new cancer treatment. We've noticed the activity on this one and have joined the rally early in the morning at $3.4 per one share. In less than 2 hours, it went up over $5 in price, and instantly bounced back to $4.5 in the middle of the trading day. We've managed to make over $1 per share on this trade, making the total profit of 210,000 USD (24.5% gain). Once again, A3Union makes another successful trade.
DNS server malfunction. ( 4 Dec. 2006 )
Our server has been unaccessible for some of our clients today. This has been caused by a DNS server fault, which lead to unavailability for some users. Our tech. support has been working on this problem and it has been fixed as soon as it was possible. At the present moment our server is accessible for 100% of clients and this problem has been permanently resolved.Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

As we heard about the "possible turn" at CNXT, so our traders decided to move in on Tuesday. A precise purchase at "the bottom" ($1.95)produced profit itself, CNXT began to move up. At this moment we already knew that as we invest a decent amount, it will go up. But we decided to keep it until the possible big move on Friday and we were ready to sell our holdings right in the middle of the trading day at $2.20 CNXT has been successfully sold at the mentioned price and generated a profit of 12.8%. Phishing treat! ( 13 Oct. 2006 )We urge our clients to report any suspicious e-mails immidiately. There were some attempts to steal our clients access data. Anonymous individuals sent a 'phishing e-mail' to our clients, but it was sucessfuly reported and any information loss has been prevented. We built our security features the way, that it is not possible to modify payment information without owners prior authorization.
